This house is a little gem at the northeast corner of the Quadrado. Formerly a fishermen’s lodge, Casinha do Pátio has undergone recent renovations to become an ideal retreat for those who want to absorb the true essence of life in Trancoso.

This house combines smart design with local furniture, including unique and limited edition pieces from the collection of designer Wilber Das.
With its colonial facade and sloping roof, it looks like a typical house in the Quadrado. But its interior provides a pleasant surprise with a central patio open to the rooms of the house, inspired by the classic Mediterranean style.
This clever adaptation of space and light makes the house seem larger and the circulation between the indoor and outdoor spaces almost imperceptible. This makes it inviting in daylight—with comfortable options for enjoying the sun or cooling off in the shade—and during tropical nights, under the stars and moon, surrounded by the magical glow of lanterns and candles.
There are two suites that offer flexibility for friends or a small family. The master suite has a king-size bed and the second suite has two single beds.
