Vila D’Alem Mar (Villa by the Sea) stands out among other houses of the region for its striking design, which appears as a bird posed for flight from the middle of the Atlantic Rainforest.  This beautiful beachfront house is only 100 meters from Trancoso’s main square locally known as the “Quadrado”.   Its architect, Wilson Reis Neto, is known for designing the Praia do Forte Resort, currently the Tivoli Ecoresort.

A cozy terrace welcomes guests arriving by the garden. Featured is a large living area that occupies most of the ground floor.  Sliding doors allow guests to enjoy the surrounding greenery, native birds and sea breeze that naturally cools the house.  All woodwork, including furniture, staircase, doors, windows and floors were executed by local craftsmen.

The dining room and kitchen are just off the living area.  The dining room table comfortably seats twelve.  The kitchen and pantry are equipped with refrigerator, industrial stove and oven, microwave, freezer, and counter with double sink.  The kitchen is stocked with a complete set of crystal glassware, porcelain dishes, silver cutlery and all necessary kitchen and serving utensils.

Also located on the ground floor are two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom and an additional half bath near the entrance.  Sliding doors give access to the lawn that extends until the pool area, where meals may be taken outside on a majestic table of native wood.

The master suite on the second floor consists of a spacious bathroom with white and Blue Bahia marble countertops, his-and-her sinks, built-in marble bathtub for two and a generous shower.  A large balcony overlooks the garden. Outside the master suite are a TV room, fully stocked linen closet and balcony.  The TV room is equipped with satellite dish, cable and wi-fi.

Two comfortable suites with connecting living room, bar and TV are completely independent from the main house.  All bedrooms and suites have air conditioning.

Vila D’Alem Mar was built to bring comfort, well-being, relaxation and warmth to its guests amidst the wonderful nature of this privileged region.  Located in the Atlantic Forest, the property has a generous 120,000 m2 wooded lot, including several fruit trees [star fruit, pomegranate, Surinam cherry (pitanga), wild crepe myrtle (acerola), cinnamon, mango, cashew and coconut trees].

Note:  The residence possesses its own generator and artesian well to guarantee uninterrupted electrical and water supplies.
